Professional Experience

Active professional musician whose playing career has embraced almost every genre of music; Jazz, Rock, Funk, Folk, Latin, World, Cabaret and Orchestral. Much of my professional work was for many years based in the recording studios working as a session musician recording TV, Radio, Jingles, Records, and Films.

In addition to commercial work I have worked with many eminent British, American Jazz and Blues and World Music artists. I am also leader of Apitos, oneof the UK’S foremost Latin American ensembles: feature on BBC Radio Three for a series of five programs demonstrating and discussing the music of Cuba and Brazil. Other projects being one of Karl Jenkins' first call percussionists and also one half of the ’Andy Scott – Dave Hassell Duo’ improvising unit that has recorded and performed worldwide.

In recent years I have been focused more on my own musical projects and education.
